Competitive Gymnastics
Hawaiian Island Twisters offers Competitive Women's and Men's Artistic Gymnastics Programs. Our boys and girl's team competes USAG levels 3 through 10. Our competitive coaches share years of experience and a wealth of knowledge setting the standard in the country. Continual training and education of our coaches are pivotal in the continued growth and development of our athletes.

Girls
Formal team selection is conducted through an open tryout led by our team staff in December. Any interested female student who will turn 6 years old by the end of September 2024 and is currently enrolled at HITS is eligible to sign up for the tryout.

Formal team selection is conducted through an open tryout lead by our team staff in April.
To be eligible, boys must be enrolled at HITS and be at least 5 years old.

Selection
With only a limited number of spots available each year and a huge pool of interested and talented children vying for a spot, HITS looks at all aspects of the child's participation in the sport. While natural talent and skill play a vital role in selection, HITS staff also considers the child's level of commitment to the sport, work ethic, their ability to self-motivate, and coachability. Finally, the child's ability to manage the demands of a competitive schedule also play a role in the selection process.
Results
All students who participate in our team tryouts will receive a results notification through email. If your athlete is accepted to be on our competitive team, you will need to turn in the signed letter to accept or decline.
